Full Day Ubud Bali Tour with a Private Driver Guide from Canggu
My name is Ajik Dewa, and I am a private driver and tour guide who is always on standby in the Canggu area, as my home is very close to Canggu. I would like to share some information and invite all travelers staying in Canggu: if you want to visit or explore Ubud, I have several tour options for you. Here are some of the trips I offer:
-
Ubud Culture & Nature Tour (Full Day 8–10 hours)
We will start the trip at 8:00 AM from your hotel in Canggu.
Our first destination is Tegalalang Rice Terrace, about 1 hour from Canggu. Here you can enjoy the beautiful terraced rice fields that are truly stunning. After that, we continue to visit a coffee plantation where you can see the unique process of making Luwak Coffee. This coffee has a special taste and is processed through an animal called the luwak. I won’t explain the full process here so you can see the uniqueness directly. You will also get testers of various kinds of coffee and tea. If you want to buy Luwak coffee or tea, everything is available there. There is also a swing area that is fun to try.
Next, we continue to Tirta Empul Temple, about 30 minutes away. At Tirta Empul, you will see ancient Balinese architecture, with buildings that look like they came from the old kingdom era. There are two pools inside the temple: one filled with many fish, adding to the beauty of the area, and another pool with around 13 holy water fountains used by Hindus and visitors for purification rituals. In the northern part of the pool is the sacred area used for prayer. From the west side of the temple, you can also see the beautiful Tampak Siring Palace, a place often visited by Indonesian leaders and important guests from other countries. The cool air and green surroundings make Tirta Empul one of the most popular destinations for both domestic and international tourists.
From there, we continue to Kintamani, about 40 minutes away, where you can enjoy lunch with an amazing view of Mount Batur and the lake. The scenery makes your lunch even more memorable.
After lunch, we head to Ubud Monkey Forest, located in the center of Ubud. Here you will find a small but beautiful forest filled with monkeys. You can walk around the green forest and take photos with the monkeys, but always stay alert as they move freely around the area. Walking through this forest makes you feel connected with nature—peaceful, relaxing, and refreshing.
If you still have time and energy in the late afternoon, you can also visit Ubud Palace and Ubud Art Market, located not far from the monkey forest. After that, we return to your hotel in Canggu.
-
Ubud Adventure Tour (ATV + Rafting)
This is another exciting option in Ubud. We start from Canggu around 8 or 9 AM, and the drive takes about 1 hour.
Our first activity is Rafting on the Ayung River. Why do visitors love rafting here? Because the Ayung River is perfect for beginners and experienced rafters. It has a medium-level difficulty, and along the river you will enjoy beautiful views: high cliffs, Balinese-style rock carvings on the cliff walls, small waterfalls, lush green trees, and fresh air that makes the experience fun and enjoyable. The rafting lasts for about 2 hours. After the activity, you can rest while enjoying the lunch provided.
Next, we continue with the second activity: ATV Riding, which is just as exciting and a bit adrenaline-pumping. The ATV ride lasts around 2 hours. You will be guided to wear safety equipment and do a short practice before starting. The track includes muddy paths, uneven terrain with small jumps, beautiful rice fields, a small river, a long mossy tunnel, a waterfall, and the famous Legong Face—excellent for photography.
After completing both activities, you may feel tired. We can then return to your hotel or stop at a traditional art market or coffee plantation along the way back to Canggu.
-
Ubud Waterfall & Temple Tour
This trip starts with a pickup from your hotel in Canggu, then we go to Tegenungan Waterfall, about 1 hour away. You can view the waterfall from above or walk down about 10 minutes to reach the waterfall. There are many photo spots to capture great memories.
Next, we continue to Goa Gajah Temple, about 35 minutes from the waterfall. This temple features a unique ancient cave shaped like a giant face. Although the cave is not very large, it has a very interesting design and history.
After visiting the waterfall and Goa Gajah, we stop for lunch in Ubud before heading to Gunung Kawi Temple and Tirta Empul. After exploring the temples, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rice terraces in Ceking Tegalalang.
This tour offers a full day of culture, nature, and Bali’s famous traditions.
These are some of the trips I offer. You are always welcome to share your own plans or ideas as well. I will do my best to provide excellent service so you can have a wonderful and unforgettable holiday in Bali.
